This elegant bowl was thrown and altered on the wheel in a dark chocolate clay. After the red dots are applied along the rim and the foot, they are covered with wax which resists the next glaze that's applied. The wax burns off in the firing. I glazed the bowl in a shiny black on the inside, and a satiny smooth black on the outside.
